A collection of high definition stock footage

Botswana

November 17th, 2009

In September 2008 we spent some time in Botswana. We travelled to Chobe on tar roads (avoiding the HUGE potholes) then made our way through Savuti, Moremi and Makgadigadi. Travelling with 7 cameras, all our food, water and diesel in the Land Rover was not easy – you have to use every available space in and on the vehicle.

We now have an hour of HD footage of Elephant herds drinking, looking after the young ones and making their way to the Chobe river.

The other animals of Botswana also got their turn in front of the lens though. Have a look at the sequence of the young male Lion protecting a Buffalo that he killed. He was not pleased with the Vultures trying to get to his meal!

All footage shot on Panasonic DVCPRO HD and Panasonic P2 HD cameras. (Panasonic HPX2100 P2 HD)
